The lawsuit revealed that Dish Network and its affiliated retailers made over 66 million unlawful telemarketing calls, violating multiple provisions of the FTC’s Telemarketing Sales Rule and other state laws. Despite Dish Network's defense in court, the federal judge held them accountable not only for their direct actions but also for the actions of their authorized retailers.
