The FTC Released an Advertising FAQ's Guide for Small Businesses, which provides answers on advertising, advertising agencies, alcohol advertising, bait and switch, catalogs, children’s advertising, clothing and textiles, comparative advertising, contests and sweepstakes, credit, dietary supplements, disclosures and disclaimers, drug advertising, endorsements and testimonials, energy savings claims, environmental advertising, food advertising, franchises and business opportunities, “free” claims and rebate offers, guarantees, infomercials, internet advertising, jewelry, leasing, mail order advertising, negative option offers, “new” claims, pricing, rainchecks, sales, subliminal advertising, telemarketing, telephone services, tobacco advertising, and weight loss products.
