New York's proposed children's privacy law could disable social media algorithms

New York state lawmakers and Gov. Kathy Hochul, D-N.Y., are moving toward a legislative agreement on a children's privacy bill that could disable the use of social media algorithms and promote parental controls for youth users, CNN reports.
