Israel's Privacy Protection Authority issued draft guidelines regarding employers' ability to collect their employees' biometric data, FindBiometrics reports. The document titled "Policy Paper: Collection and Use of Biometric Data at the Workplace" recommends employers avoid collecting biometric data but allows some instances of biometric monitoring of employees during work hours.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom, D-Calif., named Worthe Real Estate Group President Jeffrey Worthe to the California Privacy Protection Agency Board.
