EPIC releases US AI legislation tracker

The Electronic Privacy Information Center published a U.S. legislation tracker for laws governing various aspects of artificial intelligence. Ten states have laws entering into force that regulate AI, but are part of broader comprehensive state-level consumer privacy laws. Israel PPA publishes draft guidance for collection of employee biometric data

Israel's Privacy Protection Authority issued draft guidelines regarding employers' ability to collect their employees' biometric data, FindBiometrics reports. The document titled "Policy Paper: Collection and Use of Biometric Data at the Workplace" recommends employers avoid collecting biometric data but allows some instances of biometric monitoring of employees during work hours.
