US House subcommittee hearing to focus on data brokers, privacy protections

The U.S. House Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations will hold a hearing on the role of data brokers and online privacy protections 19 April. The hearing will "shine a light on the role of data brokers and educate Americans on unchecked collection of their sensitive personal information," House Energy and Commerce Committee Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers, R-Wash., and subcommittee Chair Morgan Griffith, R-Va., said.
