Andorra's Data Protection Agency announced the government approved decrees on regulations for the application of Law 29/2021, of 28 October, of Personal Data Protection, and agency regulations. The decrees allow the regulator to better adapt Andorra's law to global regulations, specifically the EU General Data Protection Regulation.
U.S. Rep. Ted Lieu, D-Calif., proposed the Facial Recognition Act of 2022. The bill contains provisions to regulate the use of facial recognition technology to what is necessary in the public and private sectors. It also provides for transparency requirements, annual assessments and reporting around use by law enforcement.
