Data deletion company Optery announced it will share user data with OpenAI, raising concerns about the company's data collection and sharing practices, 404 Media reports. Telegram to share select user data with law enforcement

Telegram CEO Pavel Durov announced individuals who use the platform for illegal and harmful activity will have their information, including IP addresses and phone numbers, shared with law enforcement agencies, the Guardian reports. US CFPB director discusses executive order barring transfers to adversarial countries

Delivering remarks at the Aspen Institute on Abuse and Misuse of Personal Data, U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Director Rohit Chopra discussed the White House's executive order banning the transfer of sensitive U.S. data to adversarial countries. Per the order, Chopra said the CFBP is developing a rule to give consumers more control over their personal data, and will apply more scrutiny to data brokers under the U.S.
