NSA buys internet data from brokers, letter alleges

The U.S. National Security Agency sometimes buys potentially sensitive internet logs from data brokers to gain insight into domestic activities, The New York Times reports. The practice, seemingly used to circumvent a court order, was criticized in a letter to the agency by U.S. Sen. A view from Brussels: Cyber Resilience Act reaches final steps

This week marked one of the final steps toward formal adoption of the Cyber Resilience Act. IAPP Managing Director, Europe, Isabelle Roccia, CIPP/E, outlines next steps and key obligations of the CRA. Once the act is formally adopted and published to the Official Journal of the European Union in coming weeks, manufacturers, importers and distributors of hardware and software products will have 36 months to comply.
