CNIL publishes code of conduct best practices

France's data protection authority, the Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés, published a code of conduct with eight of the agency's "best practices" for organizations considering developing a guide. FTC nominees call on Congress to regulate privacy, AI

During a confirmation hearing before the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, the three commissioner nominees to the Federal Trade Commission called on Congress to pass regulations on privacy, data brokers and artificial intelligence. "This issue is new, it's complicated, and it's going to affect people in a way that the commission simply can't grapple with the way Congress can," Republican nominee Andrew Ferguson said.
