US Senate committee could address several tech-focused bills in the fall
The U.S. Senate Commerce Committee is expected to work on several pieces of legislation related to technology when it returns from its August recess, The Washington Post reports. U.S. Sen. Maria Cantwell, D-Wash., said legislation could include a bill to ban children under age 13 from accessing social media. Other legislation could address regulations surrounding foreign-owned social media platforms, such as TikTok, and artificial intelligence.
